::2013 IPEDS Tables::

The tabs of this spreadsheet rely on 2013 data pulled from the U.S. Department of Education’s National Center for Education Services’ Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (2013 IPEDS). [More recent data is now available, and I will post an updated page with that data…soon.] I have made the decision to leave out data related to graduate teaching assistants, for the reason that many small institutions do not report GA/TA faculty, either because they do not hire such faculty or because those they do hire are graduate students in programs hosted by other institutions. As explained in the General Mandate, “The completion of all IPEDS surveys, in a timely and accurate manner, is mandatory for all institutions that participate in or are applicants for participation in any Federal financial assistance program authorized by Title IV of the Higher Education Act (HEA) of 1965, as amended. The completion of the surveys is mandated by 20 USC 1094, Section 487(a)(17) and 34 CFR 668.14(b)(19).”

  • TAB 1 shows data from all reporting institutions, regardless of institutional affiliation.
  • TAB 2 shows data for institutions reporting religious affiliation.
  • TAB 3 shows data for only those institutions reporting Roman Catholic affiliation.
  • TAB 4 shows data for institutions with unreported, but traditional, Roman Catholic affiliation.
