Whereas dogs loll ‘em tongues
Whereas snakes coil onto bricks
in gardens Whereas cats in windows
I wishes to laze in the low late rays

And considering the tiny knot of
glisten in the sun I thought how
I’d’ve grabbed that garter at nine
unstalled by thought of salmonella
